Klay Thompson, playing in his first NBA playoff Game 6 since he suffered a torn ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals, hit the dagger 3-pointer to seal the Warriors' 110-96 series-clinching win over the Memphis Grizzlies at Chase Center on Friday night.
It was just like old times, before Thompson was forced to miss 31 months while rehabbing the left ACL injury and then a torn right Achilles.

Thompson was hyped, running around the court in jubilation while holding up six fingers and celebrating as the Grizzlies were forced to call a timeout.
Unfortunately for Steve Kerr, he wasn't able to be on the sideline for the iconic moment. The Warriors' coach was at home watching Game 6 on TV while recovering from a bout of COVID-19 that forced him to miss the final three games of the series.
Kerr cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols Sunday and spoke to the media about Thompson's monster Game 6.
"I couldn't help but feel overjoyed for Klay given everything he's been through," Kerr said. "To see him knock down that final three, hold up the six fingers, embrace the crowd and vice versa, it just brought chills to me."
Thompson's 3-pointer with just under three minutes left in regulation gave the Warriors a 105-92 lead over the Grizzlies. He finished with a team-high 30 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the field and 8-of-14 from 3-point range.
The latest memorable Game 6 Klay performance extended the Warriors' season. Now they await either the Phoenix Suns or the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference finals.
