'Last Dance:' Watch Steve Kerr get buckets as Michael Jordan's teammate

We've heard all about the exploits of the 1990s Chicago Bulls during ESPN's 10-part docuseries "The Last Dance."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr, in case you hadn't heard, was a member of those dynastic teams in Chicago alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. While most of the attention rightfully has been focused on Pippen and Jordan, Kerr wasn't too shabby a player in his own right.

He wasn't exactly a high-flyer, but check out all those contested layups he finessed in there. One thing is for sure, Kerr could knock down threes with the best of them in his day.

Who knew he'd end up coaching arguably the two greatest 3-point shooters of all time in Steph Curry and Klay Thompson?

Warriors will return to NBA title contention, Stephen A. Smith says

Warriors will return to NBA title contention, Stephen A. Smith says

The 2019-20 season was a far cry from the unparalleled success the Warriors had seen over the past five years. After five consecutive runs to the NBA Finals and three Larry O'Brien trophies coming back to the Bay, the Warriors were the worst team in the NBA, finishing the season with a 15-50 record before the coronavirus suspension on March 12.

Stars Steph Curry and Klay Thompson being out for almost the entire season with injuries played a large part in that, but the two are expected to return to the lineup in 2020-21. The addition of the Splash Brothers back into the Warriors' rotation, along with the motivation of living through such a dismal season will push the Warriors right back into NBA title contention next season, according to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith.

"The greater motivation will be what transpired this season," Smith said on "Get Up" Thursday. "They were 15-50 at the time that the season stopped and it was suspended, we know that's not the Golden State Warriors. Kevin Durant was gone, but Klay Thompson was gone and Steph Curry was out for a chunk of time. If Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were there, do you really believe the Warriors would have been 15-50?"

Smith went on to emphasize he believes the Splash Brothers would have made a sizable difference in the win column for the Warriors, and that with both back in the fold for the Warriors, the team vaults right back into the top of the highly-competitive Western Conference.

"You add another piece to a healthy Steph and Klay, they are right back in the championship picture. Because they are, as a backcourt, the Splash Brothers, is a collection of the greatest snipers, the greatest shooting backcourt in the history of basketball."

The Warriors have plenty of firepower for a potential blockbuster trade, including the $17.2 million trade exception from Andre Iguodala's deal to Memphis and a draft pick that is guaranteed to be one of the first five picks in October's draft.

Although he reportedly might have to wait a few more weeks before beginning to make moves, general manager Bob Myers likely is chomping at the bit to tinker and put together a roster that once again can compete for a championship.

Check out awesome Warriors, Kings' Disney-themed mock-up uniforms

Check out awesome Warriors, Kings' Disney-themed mock-up uniforms

What are the Kings going to do now?

Well, they’re going to Disney World, while the Warriors will be missing out on the Most Magical Place on Earth.

The Kings are one of the 22 teams heading to Orlando for the NBA restart, and while they have a tough road ahead, one designer imagined if they dressed for the occasion.

Mikey Halim is a very talented graphic designer who designed some mock-up uniforms for the occasion by combining Disney and the NBA.

The Kings' jerseys combined “The Lion King,” which included the purple colors and the fun scene of Simba, Timon and Pumba walking in a line singing “Hakuna Matata.”

(It’s stuck in your head now isn’t it?)

It also has a unique zebra detail all over it:

Although the Warriors will not be in Orlando continuing the season, they received some royal treatment with the Disney World castle theme and the iconic logo in the backdrop of the Warriors uniform:

These are just mock ups, but they would be a fun addition to welcoming sports back.

The Kings have to surpass the Memphis Grizzlies or finish within 3 1/2 games of the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference to force a play-in round with that team. It’s quite the daunting schedule for Sacramento, and no major outlets have shown much faith in them making the postseason. That upset De’Aaron Fox when an ESPN article didn’t even mention the Kings as a possible winner in that group.

He told reporters Wednesday he believes the team has just as strong of a chance as any of the others
