Magic doubles down on Steph deserving NBA MVP this season

Magic Johnson knows he's watching a modern day basketball wizard in Steph Curry, and he can't contain his excitement.

Johnson doubled down Monday night that he believes Curry should win his third NBA MVP this season as No. 30 led the Warriors to a huge 107-95 win over the Philadelphia 76ers by dropping 49 points on the road.

Curry is on a run right now unlike anything we've ever seen. He has made 72 3-pointers over his last 10 games, and passed Kobe Bryant as the first player at 33 years old to score at least 30 points in 11 straight games.

Johnson first tweeted Sunday night that he believes Curry deserves the MVP this year. All the Warriors superstar did the next day was prove him right with his 49-point outburst.

What Curry is doing this month doesn't even make sense. Through 10 games in April, he's averaging 40.8 points per game while shooting 54.9 percent from the field, 50.3 percent from 3 and 90.9 percent on free throws. He's playing a different game than anybody else.

Magic makes us all laugh with how he tweets. His last few, however, might make MVP voters think about longer about Curry going nuclear down this stretch run.
