Rapaport goes off on Draymond's lack of ‘effect' on game

Death, taxes and someone in a rage on social media. This time it’s actor Michael Rapaport, who appears to have an issue with Warriors forward Draymond Green.

On Thursday night, Golden State fan Rapaport went on to Twitter to discuss “Mr. Basketball IQ.”

He then posted a video on Instagram:

“We all know he ‘effects’ the game in ways that we don’t see on the stat sheet,” Rapaport said. “BUT maybe also start effecting the game in ways that WE do see on the stat sheet?”

Yes, Draymond is averaging just 4.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, so there’s cause for concern in that regard, but he does add value, as Rapaport says, that won’t be in the Basketball Reference boxes. Plus, by the looks of it, it appears Rapaport loves to come at Draymond, so this isn’t exactly new.

Rapaport mentioned the 114-93 Thursday night loss to the “Devin Booker-less Suns,” which just piled on to how everyone else was feeling.

Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins also mentioned he wants Draymond to “give more.”

Numbers aside, Draymond is one of the most impactful players on the team -- sure, he might not be a game-changer on offense anymore, but he brings out the best in those around him.

He’s taken rookie James Wiseman under his wing and taught him things both on and off the court that someone of only Draymond’s caliber can.

You’re mad Draymond isn’t performing well, we get it Rapaport, but there’s no way you’re as mad as Draymond is with how he’s been playing lately either. You said it yourself, he has one of the best basketball IQs, so he’s not oblivious to what’s going on.
