NBA All-Star Game to change 2020 format, will honor late Kobe Bryant

Despite the fact the Warriors almost certainly will not have an NBA All-Star representative for the first time since the 2011-12 season, the game still will be played on Sunday, Feb. 16 in Chicago.

And on Thursday afternoon, the league announced sweeping changes for the 2020 edition -- part of which will honor the late Kobe Bryant.

You can expect plenty of additional ways the 18-time All-Star will be celebrated throughout All-Star weekend.

Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were among nine people who tragically passed away last Sunday in a helicopter crash.
