NBA says officials missed Beal travel late in Warriors-Wiz

The Warriors still ended up coming up with the stop, but this missed call would have left more time on the clock down the stretch of Friday night's 110-107 loss to the Washington Wizards.

The NBA's Last Two Minute Report indicated that there was a missed traveling call on Bradley Beal a few seconds before he missed a short jumper with about 23 seconds remaining. Steph Curry was fouled a few ticks later and connected on a pair of free throws for the Warriors.

If the call had been made correctly on the floor, the Warriors would have had possession with around 25 seconds to go. According to the report, every other call down the stretch was by the book.

Although a few extra seconds could have altered some things, it doesn't change the head-scratching foul committed by Andrew Wiggins on Beal, which ended in a four-point play and gave Washington the lead with six seconds remaining.

It also doesn't change the questionable decision by Damion Lee to try and throw a late pass to the corner instead of going up at the rim against Wizards rookie Deni Avdija, who isn't exactly an elite rim protector.

A home loss to a team three games out of a play-in tournament spot in the Eastern Conference is a devastating blow for a team trying to keep itself within the conversation for the 10th seed in the West standings.

Lee put the blame on himself for the frustrating final play, but he was far from the only contributing factor. Wiggins' foul, the starting unit's failure to maintain a lead when entering midway through the fourth quarter and a tough night offensively from Draymond Green all played a role.

All the Warriors can do now is shake it off and prepare to face the Houston Rockets on the tail end of a back-to-back at Chase Center on Saturday.

Facing another team near the bottom of its conference standings, the Warriors absolutely need to find a way to win this one.
