Anthony Davis questionable for Game 5 with groin strain

Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis is questionable for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Phoenix Suns after suffering a groin strain in Game 4 of the first-round series.

Davis is unlikely to play, although Los Angeles has expressed optimism about the forward's status as the series continues, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Davis came into Sunday's Game 4 dealing with a sprained left knee and left at halftime after scoring just six points in 19 minutes as the Suns evened up the series at 2-2.

Kyle Kuzma started the second half of Game 4 in place of Davis, but Lakers head coach Frank Vogel would not confirm whether Kuzma would start if Davis is unable to play Tuesday night in Phoenix.

While Davis' status is up in the air, the Lakers are hopeful that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will be able to return after missing Game 4 with a sore left knee.
