The second round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs was full of stunning collapses and thrilling comeback wins. The Western Conference finals began Sunday afternoon and the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks tipped off their Eastern Conference finals matchup on Wednesday.
The Bucks managed to overcome a 48-point performance and regulation buzzer-beater by Kevin Durant in Game 7 on Saturday to defeat the Nets in overtime by a score of 115-111 and advance to the conference finals. The Hawks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7 on Sunday night by a score of 103-96.
Out West, the No. 4 L.A. Clippers outlasted the top-seeded Utah Jazz thanks to Terance Mann and a furious 25-point comeback in Game 7 on Friday. Their opponent, the No. 2 Phoenix Suns, had a full week of rest since sweeping the Denver Nuggets, but they began the series without Chris Paul, who has been out due to health and safety protocols but is expected to return in Game 3.
