NBA Power Rankings 2019: How teams stand entering playoff push

Share

As the calendar hits March, the playoff picture is coming into clearer view in both conferences.

With roughly 20 games remaining in the regular season, teams are scratching and clawing to be one of the eight teams in each conference to advance to the playoffs. In the West, the Warriors and Nuggets have distanced themselves from the pack, but behind them is an all-out bloodbath. Similarly, in the East, the Bucks and Raptors have a significant cushion, leaving nine other teams fighting over the remaining six playoff seeds.

The Warriors drop out of the top spot after a stretch of inconsistent play, as Golden State hasn't won back-to-back games since returning from the All-Star break. The Kings have also struggled as of late, losing four of five to drop two games out of a playoff spot.

It's a make or break month for the Kings, and an important one for the Warriors if they intend to make a run at homecourt advantage.
