NBA rumors: Chance Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston retire after season

The Warriors currently have all their attention focused on dispatching the Houston Rockets without the help of Kevin Durant. With the two-time NBA Finals MVP out for the remainder of the second-round NBA playoff series with a right calf strain, the Warriors now will rely on the core that helped them rise to prominence five years ago.

While it's hard to savor a playoff run at the moment, the Warriors might want to do just that, as it could be the last time this group plays together. I'm not just talking about Durant's upcoming free agency.

A recent report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said the Dubs are "bracing for seismic change" this offseason. Naturally, everyone thought that was in reference to both Durant and Klay Thompson leaving in free agency.

But, according to Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher, two other Warriors might be headed out the door after this season -- Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

"The anticipation of change with the Warriors is so great that some within the team wonder if the latter two (Iguodala and Livingston) will be back, even though they're signed through next season," Bucher writes.

Jordan Bell echoed that sentiment.

"I've heard (Andre and Shaun) say it's possibly their last season," Bell told Bucher.

Iguodala and Livingston have played critical roles in the Warriors' dynastic run, but both are getting a little long in the tooth and have shown signs of age this season. It would be fitting that their last ride delivers another title to the Warriors.

It's hard to see both hanging up their sneakers with a year left on their respective contracts. But if the Warriors complete their three-peat, that might be a sign to both veterans that it's time to leave the game on a high note.
