Report: Bell joining Warriors camp as non-roster invite

A familiar face will be with the Warriors for training camp, as Jordan Bell is being brought in as a non-roster invitee, The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears reported Friday morning citing league sources.

Bell joined the Warriors near the end of the 2020-21 season, playing 14 minutes in one regular-season game on May 14. Bell also played for the Warriors over his first two NBA seasons and was a part of the 2018 championship team

The big man has been part of workouts throughout the summer with the Warriors, and potentially could provide some depth in the frontcourt if he ends up being signed.

Kevon Looney and James Wiseman represent the only current options on the roster at center, although the Warriors likely will play a significant amount of small ball with Draymond Green at the five given the success of that last season.

At the very least, Bell gives the Warriors another frontcourt body to help Looney and Wiseman prepare for the season.
