Report: Loon out of COVID-19 protocols, available vs. 76ers

After missing Saturday night's game in Memphis, the Warriors are expected to have at least one healthy center available for Tuesday night's game at Chase Center against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Kevon Looney is out of the NBA's health and safety protocols and flew back to San Francisco with the Warriors, a team spokesman told The San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau on Sunday.

Looney joined James Wiseman and Eric Paschall on Saturday by being entered into the league's COVID-19 protocols after playing in Friday night's win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Warriors ended up giving Alen Smailagic his first career NBA start with Looney out, but the polarizing big man didn't exactly live up to the hopes of the Warriors' front office, scoring just three points on 1-of-5 shooting, including 1-4 from 3-point range in eight minutes.

Wiseman and Paschall aren't expected to be available until the Warriors' matchup with the Kings on Thursday, but it appears Looney will be able to re-join the lineup against the 76ers, who currently stand atop the Eastern Conference standings.
