The Warriors have lost another big man to the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, as Kevon Looney now joins James Wiseman and Eric Paschall. Looney won't play in Saturday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, The Athletic's Marcus Thompson and Anthony Slater reported Saturday morning, citing league sources.
The Warriors would be without an available center if Looney indeed can't play, as Wiseman and Paschall entered the league's health and safety protocols earlier this week and flew home from the team's road trip.

It actually would mark the second time this season the Warriors have been without a healthy center, as injuries to Looney and Wiseman in February led to the Warriors starting Draymond Green at the five and moving Juan Toscano-Anderson in as the starting power forward.
Looney played 20 minutes in Friday night's blowout win over the Grizzlies at FedEx Forum, so his entering the protocols might signal that some other players could have been exposed, but Slater reported that the expectation is the game will be played as scheduled.

The Warriors went 5-5 over the 10 February games in which no traditional center was available.

Wiseman, Paschall and several Warriors assistant coaches and developmental staff all entered the protocol on Wednesday prior to the game in Houston against the Rockets, and were ruled out for seven days, meaning the next game they could suit up is next Thursday's clash with the Sacramento Kings.
Steph Curry also missed Friday's game after bruising his tailbone in Wednesday's win in Houston, and didn't sound likely to play in Saturday's contest.
Coach Steve Kerr once again will need to do a lot of tinkering with his lineup, as the Warriors look to complete the two-game sweep in Memphis.
