Kevon Looney might end up being on the shelf for a little while.

After only playing seven minutes against the Magic on Thursday, the Warriors forward missed Saturday's game against the 76ers because of right pelvic soreness. He underwent an MRI and the results revealed a strain, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

After practice on Monday, Steve Kerr told reporters that Looney will not play on Tuesday night against the Celtics. Golden State hosts Denver on Friday and Phoenix on Sunday before beginning a four-game road trip next Wednesday in Houston.

Through the Warriors' first 53 games, Looney averaged 6.9 points and 5.9 rebounds in 20.9 minutes per appearance.

But over the last nine games, his numbers dipped to 2.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per night.
