If you're a Warriors fan who wants the franchise to pick James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, you won't like what you are about to read.
Wes Goldberg -- who covers the Warriors for the Bay Area News Group -- made some pretty strong comments earlier this week on the "Locked on Warriors" podcast.
"My intel from people I talk to is that the Warriors aren’t high on Wiseman," he said. "I reported last week that the Warriors are much higher on this class’ guards and wings than they are on this class’ centers, and I still think that they’re going to go in that direction -- even if Anthony Edwards is off the board.

"I don't know why every mock draft has Wiseman going (to Golden State). If you're a national guy -- and you're putting one of these mocks together -- you're just looking at team needs, and the Warriors have their point guard, they have their shooting guard, they have their small forward, they have their power forward ... obviously, it's easy enough to put Wiseman in there.
"I'm just telling you that's not what's gonna happen."
While some draft analysts have Golden State selecting Wiseman with the second pick, others have the Dubs going in a different direction.
ESPN's Jonathan Givony has the Warriors picking Edwards, and SB Nation's Ricky O'Donnell believes the choice will be LaMelo Ball.

As for Wiseman -- don't forget what Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reported back in May.
"Believe it or not, the Warriors are actually higher on Southern Cal’s (Onyeka) Okongwu than James Wiseman," he wrote. "If they end up taking a big man in the top five, it’ll almost definitely be the 6-foot-9 Okongwu. His game is well-suited for the Warriors’ style.
"Unlike Wiseman, Okongwu can shuttle between multiple positions with ease."

It's also important to remember that the Warriors might not end up taking anybody with the No. 2 overall pick, because they could end up trading it away.
It's entirely possible -- even likely -- that Golden State has no clue what it's going to do yet. So much remains up in the air at this point, including the actual date of the draft.
But according to Goldberg, Wiseman will not be rocking a Warriors uniform next season.
