NBA rumors: Warriors trading Andre Iguodala, draft pick to Grizzlies

The Andre Iguodala era in Golden State ended Sunday night, when ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski cited a league source in reporting the Warriors are trading the 2015 NBA Finals MVP to the Grizzlies.

When news broke that Kevin Durant will sign with the Brooklyn Nets, Iguodala tweeted this:

The implication was that he wouldn't be with the Warriors next season.

Then, five minutes before Woj reported the 35-year-old is being shipped to Memphis, Iguodala tweeted this:

The Iguodala news surfaced almost immediately after Woj broke the news that the Warriors agreed to acquire Nets guard D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade.

The day before Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Warriors and Raptors, Iguodala said this:

I'll be here next year for sure and I'm pretty confident that we'll have our core back and we'll try to make another run at it.

But it's possible that the moment the Warriors lost Game 6 at Oracle Arena, Iguodala knew he would be traded. Back in late November, he told NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole:

"I possibly have another year here -- if we win. That’s it. I know that. I’m fine with it. That’s if we win. If not ..."

Sure enough, Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports reported the following late Sunday night:

Iguodala recently was on a book tour, telling everybody how good the Warriors would be next season. Iguodala -- who will make $17.2 million next season before becoming a free agent -- even predicted that Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson would re-sign in free agency.

Well, KD is headed to the Nets, and Iguodala is headed to the Grizzlies.

Warriors fans will love (sarcasm font) this final nugget:

It's been a helluva day.
