GOAT Warrior: Twitter reacts to Steph breaking Wilt's record

Steph Curry stands alone in Warriors history.

No one has scored more points in the history of the storied franchise after Curry passed all-time great Wilt Chamberlain on Monday night.

With a driving layup against former teammate and current Denver Nuggets backup center JaVale McGee, Curry scored career points 17,783 and 17,784 to pass Chamberlain.

As NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole wrote, Curry defied long odds and a mountain of doubters to reach this point. Plenty of people wondered if Curry would be able to survive in the NBA at his small stature.

But Curry proved everyone wrong. He has two NBA MVPs and three NBA titles to his name, and now he can say he's the greatest scorer to ever put on a Warriors uniform.

Andre Iguodala, one of Curry's closest friends, was watching the Warriors-Nuggets game and posted an image of his TV with a simple message: "A god."

Here's how people on Twitter reacted, including Curry's sister Sydel Curry-Lee.

Curry entered Monday's game needing 19 points to break Chamberlain's record, and he didn't waste any time, scoring 21 in the first quarter. He finished the first half with 30 points.

Curry has plenty of good years left in his Hall of Fame career, so he's going to set the bar high for any future Warriors star coming after him.
