Nico Mannion's Olympic journey isn't done yet, and his and Team Italy's continued time in Tokyo came at the expense of Warriors bench coach Mike Brown and Team Nigeria.

Late Friday night, Mannion scored 14 points on four-for-12 shooting, including knocking down a dagger 3-pointer to give Italy an 80-71 win over Nigeria in the Group B finale.

Mannion's 14 points and Nicolo Melli's 15 points paced Italy, who used a 14-0 fourth-quarter run to sprint past Team Nigeria and into the quarterfinals.

The Warriors rookie guard is relishing his Olympic time with Team Italy.

“I think that’s the beauty of it,” Mannion said of the pressure of being down entering the fourth quarter, via The Associated Press. “That’s the fun part. If you’re not playing with any pressure, what is there to play for? It’s fun to play with that.”

This is the fifth straight Olympic appearance that Team Italy has reached the quarterfinals, with the last one coming in 2004.

Mannion and Italy will play on Tuesday, Aug. 3, but their opponent is not yet known.

Team USA also advanced to the quarterfinals by virtue of a 35-point win over the Czech Republic on Saturday morning.
