Popovich: Kawhi ‘likely' out for Game 4 vs Warriors

With the Spurs on the brink of elimination, it appears Kawhi Leonard won't be available in Game 4 against the Warriors on Monday night.

Speaking after practice on Sunday morning, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich told reporters that Leonard "likely" won't play.

"It wouldn't make sense," Popovich told reporters.

It sounds as if the extra time hasn't helped Leonard.

"If he's unable to play yesterday, I don't think there's going to be a miraculous healing by tomorrow," Popovich said.

Shortly after Popovich spoke the media, the Spurs officially listed Leonard as doubtful for Game 4.

Leonard aggravated his sprained left ankle after rolling it twice in Game 1 against the Warriors.

The Warriors lead the Western Conference Finals 3-0 and can clinch a spot in their third consecutive NBA Finals with a win Monday night.
