Quinn Cook revamped his diet this summer, abstained from three things

In the summer of 2017, Kevon Looney lost 30 pounds.

"I had to change my diet. Andre (Iguodala) was in my ear for two years about it. I finally listened to him and it paid off," Looney said back in March on the Warriors Plus/Minus Podcast.

It appears that Iguodala had an impact on another young Warriors player this summer.

Mark Medina of the Bay Area News Group recently wrote a profile on Quinn Cook, and here's an excerpt:

Although he reported having similar body weight between the end of last season (186 pounds) and entering the 2018-19 campaign (188 pounds), Cook reported feeling “stronger and faster” because of a revamped diet.

After consulting with the Warriors’ training staff and trusted veteran Andre Iguodala, Cook has abstained from all meats, fried foods and sugar in favor of fish, vegetables and lots of water. He shared he has only six percent body fat and “a lot bigger tone.”

First of all -- six percent body fat is... incredible.

Secondly -- giving up all meats, fried food and sugar sounds... awful.

But I suppose I would make some sacrifices if it meant having a career in the NBA...
