Rockets GM: Warriors not unbeatable, ‘we have something up our sleeve'

The Warriors have two titles in the last three years, been to the Finals three straight seasons, and are built for sustained success.

But Rockets GM Daryl Morey is excited for the challenge of trying to dethrone Golden State.

"They are not unbeatable," Morey told ESPN's Zach Lowe. "There have been bigger upsets in sports history. We are going to keep improving our roster."

In 2015, the Warriors beat the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals.

In 2016, the Warriors beat the Rockets in the first round.

This year, after the Rockets beat the Spurs in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals by 27 points, it appeared Golden State and Houston would meet in the playoffs for a third straight year.

But the Rockets fell in six games.

You can probably count on Houston being aggressive this summer.

"We are used to long odds," Morey said. "If Golden State makes the odds longer, we might up our risk profile and get even more aggressive. We have something up our sleeve."
