Russell Westbrook joins Wilt Chamberlain in NBA record book with 20-20-20 game

The Warriors appear to be on a collision course with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA playoffs, and Russell Westbrook is heating up.

Kevin Durant's freakishly athletic frenemy added another absurd statline to his collection Tuesday night. In the Thunder's 119-103 win over the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook scored 24 points, dished out 21 assists and grabbed 20 rebounds.

Westbrook's 20-20-20 triple-double was the first of its kind in 51 years. Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain is the only other NBA player with a 20-20-20 game.

In a postgame interview with TNT's Jason Terry, Westbrook said he had one person in mind during his historic performance: Rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Tuesday was only the Thunder's third win in the last 10 games, but Westbrook's second consecutive triple-double. Could this be the performance that gets the Thunder back on track?

The Warriors would still feel confident about Durant's first postseason matchup with his former team, but that doesn't preclude Westbrook from giving Golden State problems.
