Shaq uses Steph, LeBron to defend Mitchell criticism

Shaquille O'Neal isn't backing down from his critique of current NBA players as the basketball legend recently took to Instagram to defend his comments to Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell.

O'Neal posted multiple photos of his star guard teammates Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, saying he has played with greatness at the guard position.

Later on, in the comments of a post by the WinShares stats page, O'Neal pointed to Warriors star Steph Curry and James as the only two current players who are in his class.

"I'm to great to hate listen to what I say don't be sensitive u betta google me," O'Neal wrote. "I kno what greatness is. Ain't nobody playing done what I've done besides LeBron and Steph Curry. I have G14 classification to say what I say. I played against and with the best ever. So shut your fave up WINSHARES. Me hate that's funny. You betta google me."

Whenever Shaq is quoting Detective James Carter from "Rush Hour" you know he means business.

If O'Neal is trying to say that Curry and James are the only current stars who have carried a team to titles, he might want to Google Kawhi Leonard and ... Kevin Durant. Just an idea.

All of this started when O'Neal had an awkward exchange with Mitchell when he told the Jazz guard: "You don't have what it takes to get to the next level."

O'Neal has been salty about the current generation of NBA players for a while, but at least he recognizes Curry's unquestioned greatness.
