The whole basketball world knows that Draymond Green is the biggest trash talker on the Warriors, and is one of the very best in the NBA.
Is there a former Golden State player who is underrated when it comes to running his mouth at opponents?
Shaun Livingston was asked that question Friday on the "Runnin' Plays" podcast with Grant Liffmann and Kerith Burke.
"David West," Livingston answered with assertiveness. "It shouldn't be (much of a surprise). In his time, when he was maybe at his peak ... he talks (laughter).
"He could back it up. He's for sure one. Who else ... not a lot of guys. Maybe (Andrew) Bogut -- a little rough around the edges.
"Sometimes he might say something in a different language -- I don't know what he was saying. He's competitive, he's fiery. So I'd throw him in there. That's probably it."
This makes a whole lot of sense and does not come as a surprise.
It also is not shocking that Livingston struggled to come up with names because guys like Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala don't talk much trash.
As Steve Kerr said during his 2016 NBA Coach of the Year press conference: "Draymond -- don't ever change, if you're watching this. Keep yelling at me, I'm gonna keep yelling at you. It's the best.
"He provides the edge that this team needs. Without Draymond, we'd be in trouble. We would be too quiet, and too nice. We need that edge."
And you better believe Draymond will bring that edge into the 2020-21 season, because one can make the argument he never has been more motivated.
