Charlotte Christian School retired Steph Curry's high school jersey on Tuesday night.
Curry grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the people in his hometown want the two-time MVP to sign with the Hornets this summer.
"I've gotten that since I've been in the league," Curry told reporters after shootaround on Wednesday. "This is my home; grew up here ... there's obviously gonna be an attachment to the city and that kind of chatter is something I've been asked about and kind of dealt with since the first time I came back to play my rookie year."
Curry will become an unrestricted free agent in July, but has repeatedly said that he has no plans to leave the Warriors.
In his homecoming game in Charlotte last year, Curry scored 28 of his 40 points in the third quarter.
Over his career, he's averaging 27.3 points and 6.7 assists per game against Charlotte, while shooting 48 percent from beyond the arc.
"It's fun to know you have that support here and it kind of is what it is," Curry added.
