Steph Curry ‘kind of pissed off' every time he gets taken out of the game

Steph Curry was better on Sunday than he was on Friday.

-Game 4: 23 points, 8-for-17 FG, 4-for-9 3s
-Game 3: 19 points, 6-for-19 FG, 3-for-9 3s

"I thought he made a breakthrough conditioning wise and he was moving much better than he was in Game 3," Steve Kerr said after the game. "I thought Steph turned a corner.

"Where I really saw it was at the defensive end. I thought he was moving really well -- he was anticipating things and getting over screens.

"And then I left him out for a couple more minutes at the end when the game was decided, just to get him a couple more shots. You can see that his shot is right there but he's not quite there."

Curry had three or four shots go in-and-out. If they drop, his final stat line would look a lot different.

In terms of his conditioning, Curry played 31 minutes and 53 seconds in Game 4 -- up from 27 minutes and 14 seconds in Game 2 and 28 minutes and 33 seconds in Game 3.

As a result, Curry traveled 2.54 miles in Game 4 -- up from 2.14 miles in Game 2 and 2.17 miles in Game 3, according to NBA.com.

After a nearly nine-minute third-quarter stint on Sunday, Curry was subbed out.

As he walked towards the bench, he appeared to tell Kerr to put him back in the game soon.

"My lungs feel really good," Curry said after the win. "Every time I get subbed out I'm kind of pissed off, really, to be honest with you. Just because I feel like I have a little bit more in the tank.

"But coach is making the calls and trying to keep the right rotations and what not -- save me from myself a little bit."

So it's simple then -- Curry should never come out of the game ever again.

I'd be OK with that.
