Andre Iguodala went to five straight NBA Finals with the Warriors. In his first season with the Miami Heat, he's headed back there once again.
The Heat eliminated the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday night, and now will face the Los Angeles Lakers for the NBA title. Iguodala likely will see plenty of Lakers star LeBron James, just as he did when he was named Finals MVP in 2015.
After the Heat booked their trip to The Finals, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson took to Instagram to congratulate him.
The proof is in the pudding, and Iguodala has proven time and time again that he's a winning basketball player who thrives in the biggest moments. Miami acquired him out of a desire to add some veteran leadership, and his influence on the Heat's younger players has been readily apparent throughout their impressive playoff run.
Curry and Thompson can speak to the benefits of being Iguodala's teammate, and it certainly wouldn't come as a surprise if they were pulling for Miami to win the NBA championship. And, if they are, the Splash Brothers definitely won't be alone in that.
Between Iguodala's presence and the Warriors' regional rivalry with Los Angeles, the forecast calls for a Heatwave in the Bay Area.
