Steph leaves NBA peers awestruck with 42 points vs. Thunder

Even Steph Curry’s peers can’t believe what they’re seeing.

Curry splashed his way to another ridiculous performance Wednesday night, this time scoring 42 points in three quarters to lead the Warriors to a 147-109 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Boston Celtics center Tristan Thompson chimed in with his thoughts.

Thompson met Curry in the NBA Finals four straight times from 2015 to 2018 as part of the Cleveland Cavaliers, so he knows all about peak Steph.

All season long, Warriors coach Steve Kerr has said Curry is playing at the same level, if not higher, than when he earned back-to-back NBA MVPs in 2014-15 and 2015-16. It’s hard to argue with him after a showing like Wednesday.

Warriors forward Eric Paschall is out with a hip flexor strain, but gets to lace ‘em up with Curry on a regular basis when he’s healthy. Even he was left amazed by Steph’s latest display.

Forty-two points. Eleven 3-pointers. Just another night for No. 30.
