Steph Curry listed as probable for Game 2 vs Pelicans

The wait seems to finally be over.

Stephen Curry is probable for Game 2 vs the Pelicans on Tuesday night, Steve Kerr announced after practice on Monday.

"I'd be very surprised if he didn't play," Kerr told reporters.

He will not be on a minutes restriction.

"He's ready to go. He's been cleared," Kerr said.

The two-time MVP nearly suited up for Game 1 on Saturday, but Kerr officially ruled him out about two hours before game time.

Curry has not played since March 23 -- when he sustained a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee against the Hawks.

Before injuring the knee, Curry scored 29 points in about 25 minutes.

He was playing in his first game since March 8, when he tweaked his right ankle against the Spurs.

It's unclear at this point if Curry will start or come off the bench.

The last time Curry was a reserve -- Game 4 of the 2016 Western Conference Semifinals at Portland.

Through three quarters that night, he was 6-for-18 from the field and 0-for-9 from 3-point range.

Curry's final stat line: 40 points, 16-for-32 overall and 5-for-16 from deep. He scored an NBA-record 17 points in overtime...

'They said that I couldn't guard perimeters' so JaVale McGee made a big change last summer

Did you know that JaVale McGee is a staunch vegan?

"I’ve been fully vegan for about five to six months now since the season started, and probably a month before," JaVale told GQ back in late February.

On Thursday morning, JaVale was a guest on KNBR 680 to promote his "Water For Life Charity Softball Game" this Saturday at the Oakland Coliseum.

Near the end of the conversation, the two-time champion was asked about his diet.

"My teammates really don't rock with the veganism -- they like food too much," JaVale explained. "It makes me feel amazing, it keeps my weight down ... keeps me in shape, my mind.

"That's definitely something I'm working on even more, and I worked on last summer -- they said that my fault was that I couldn't guard perimeters in switches and things of that nature. So being vegan really helped me out, and being able to be more agile and guard LeBron for example.

"That wasn't happening last year until the summer and I went into the gym and really focused on what I needed to do to be able to get more time on the floor."

JaVale showed improvement last season with his ability to slide his feet and stay with guards and/or wings.

But in the Western Conference Finals, he was relegated to the bench because the coaching staff didn't think he would be able to effectively guard James Harden or Chris Paul.

The 30-year old is about to become an unrestricted free agent, and it's unclear if the Warriors want JaVale back for a third season (it's also unclear if they will be able to afford him).

And in case you were curious:

"If I'm not vegan I can get up to around 270-275 (pounds). If I am vegan, I can stay around 255," JaVale said.

JJ Redick loves Chris Paul, 'but he's got some bulls**t with his game'

JJ Redick and Chris Paul were teammates with the Clippers for four seasons.

On the most recent episode of "The J.J. Redick Podcast," Redick and Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell had the following exchange:

Redick: "CP's trickery -- it's annoying, right?"

Mitchell: "Yeah. And he just says whatever. He just throws the ball."

Redick: "He's yelling at the refs, he's doing his little sweep-through on the left block (laughter)."

Mitchell: "I told him, I said 'there's gonna be a day where I get you a technical foul.' And that'll be the happiest day of my NBA career."

Redick: "I love CP."

Mitchell: "That's my guy."

Redick: "But he's got some bulls**t with his game. Sometimes, it's baffling to me."
