OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry scrimmaged for the first time in 18 days Monday, is scheduled to practice Tuesday and could be available to play as early as Thursday, when the Warriors face the Raptors in Toronto.
“He might,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Monday, two hours before tipoff against the Orlando Magic. “We’ll see how he does [Tuesday].”
The Warriors want Curry, who missed the last nine games with a left groin strain and will be a spectator Monday night, to practice twice more: Tuesday and Wednesday before he is cleared to play on the team’s 10-day road trip that concludes Dec. 7 in Milwaukee.

Curry looked good competing with a few players and staffers, including assistant coach Willie Green, in a closed scrimmage.
“He’s just trying to get his rhythm and his conditioning down,” Kerr said. “But he’s doing well.”

Barring a setback, Curry will return to the Warriors' lineup before fellow All-Star Draymond Green, who has missed the last five games with a sprained toe and remains out indefinitely.

“He was not on the floor [Monday],” Kerr said. “He’s still doing his conditioning on the bike. He’ll continue to be day to day, but he needs to be on the court for at least a couple days before he’s ready to play. It hasn’t happened yet. We’re hoping that at some point on this trip, he’ll be ready to go.”
