Steph describes All-Star potential in Warriors' young core

The Warriors are in a rare position that not many NBA teams can relate to.

Not only is Golden State actively one of the best teams in the league competing for an NBA championship, but they also have an exciting young core of potential stars waiting in the wing when the current run with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green inevitably comes to an end.

The Warriors' four most recent first-round picks, which consist of Jordan Poole (2019), James Wiseman (2020), Jonathan Kuminga (2021) and Moses Moody (2021) make up a core of young talent that is actively developing at the NBA level right now, learning from three of the game's most influential players.

Curry sat down with NBC Sports Bay Area's Grant Liffmann on the latest episode of DubsTalk, where he discussed the potential that all four of these young stars have in the Warriors' system.

"Honestly they all could be All-Stars in this league if you think about their talent and the ability to be groomed by our culture here and the experience they're going to have early in their career," Curry said. "I think they all have the ability and the talent upside to reach that level. They're all going to do it differently."

Each of the four players, ages ranging from 19-22-years-old, brings something unique to the team. Curry had nothing but praise for each of their skill sets.

"[Jordan Poole] could be an amazing playmaker, scorer, go-to option on the offensive end," Curry added. [Jonathan Kuminga] probably has the highest ceiling but his game is going to get way more polished as he goes through every year. [James Wiseman] could be a physical specimen. He's literally 20-years-old and just the raw, physical gifts he has and the skill he has, he can pretty much do everything on the court. That's going to take some time for it to show ... he could be one of those dominant big men, maybe he can bring that back in style a little bit.

"And [Moses] Moody, he probably has the ability to impact winning in a way that we see but maybe not many people see. He's so consistent, he's going to be an amazing defender in this league, he can obviously shoot the ball. Then when he's asked to do more, I feel like he can grow into much more of a playmaker on the offensive end."

For years, the Warriors were sending two, three, sometimes even four starters to the NBA All-Star Game. As difficult as that is to do, Curry believes that each of the four young players is capable of such an honor.

"Who the hell knows what they're going to look like, but they all have the ability to reach an All-Star level of talent and ability and to be in this league for a very long time and help win a lot of games," Curry said.

Most teams would be happy if just two of their four young prospects developed into All-Stars. If all four of them do for the Warriors, well ... watch out NBA.
