Steph, Kerr confident in Dubs' ability to rebound in Game 4

Steve Kerr isn't panicking just yet.

Speaking to reporters after the Warriors' 127-97 Game 3 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday at Crypto.com Arena, Kerr said, in no uncertain terms, that he believes Golden State will play better in Game 4.

"I'm very confident in our team, in our ability to bounce back," Kerr succinctly said.

Warriors star Steph Curry shared his coach's sentiment, noting that the back-and-forth nature of the first three games of the Western Conference semifinals is to be expected.

"That's kind of the nature of a playoff series, especially because of how drastically different we play," Curry told reporters after the game. "We'll respond -- got a lot of confidence in our ability to do that and it's why you play the game."

Golden State had hoped that the demons it faced on the road in the 2022-23 NBA season wouldn't rear their ugly heads in the first game in Los Angeles. Lo and behold, they did.

Aside from Andrew Wiggins' poster dunk on Anthony Davis, the night certainly was a forgettable one for the Warriors. No player played particularly well, as foul trouble and inconsistent calls hampered any Golden State run.

Of note, Game 3 marked the second time in the series that the Lakers shot 20 or more free throws than the Warriors.

In Game 1, the Lakers went to the free-throw line 29 times (nailing 25) while the Warriors went 5-of-6 from the stripe. Two games later, Los Angeles shot 37 free throws (making 28) and Golden State had 17 (sinking 12).

With the free throw disparity, it's clear the Warriors have to do their best to defend without fouling, lest they want to repeat the results of Games 1 and 3.

But if Game 1 is any indication, Golden State fans can expect a better showing from Curry, Kerr and the rest of the Warriors in Game 4.
