Steph wouldn't score like this without Draymond, Barnett says

Steph Curry has been stealing all of the headlines lately, and it 100 percent is justified.

When you average 40 points and shoot just under 50 percent from 3-point range (on 14.3 attempts) over an 11-game stretch, you deserve all the praise and then some.

Warriors radio broadcaster Jim Barnett on Tuesday was a guest on 95.7 The Game's "Damon, Ratto & Kolsky" show, and practically was speechless when discussing Curry's hot streak.

But Barnett also made sure to give some love to Curry's running mate.

"Draymond [Green] has set him up so much. He wouldn't be scoring like this without Draymond," Barnett said. "Draymond really knows how to get Stephen Curry open.

"He's a genius at that and they work so well together."

Yes, yes and yes.

Steph would put up huge numbers no matter what, but there's no doubt that Draymond elevates his game.

The three-time NBA All-Star in the Warriors' win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night was credited with six screen assists, which led to 18 points.

And as Steph said after he dropped 49 points:

Oh, and in case you forgot what Draymond said back in April 2020 on the All the Smoke podcast, here's a reminder:

"Yeah, Steph Curry do make me better. Yeah, Klay Thompson do make me better. And? I make them better," the three-time NBA champion said. "By the way, people talk all this s--t about shooting. I'll put this up against anybody -- if not No. 1, I'm definitely top-two or three -- I think I'm the best screen-setter to ever play in the NBA. And that's just real.

"I'm a great defender, but I don't think there's anybody to ever f--king touch the NBA that can set better screens than me."
