Steph Curry's favorite joke about his injured tailbone is very on the nose.
Yes, his tailbone is the butt of the joke.
The Warriors superstar butted in with his top quip about the injury in a video conference with reporters Monday, providing his favorite pun when asked by the Associated Press' Janie McCauley.
"Best one I had was just trying to be a real ass-et for the team," Curry said.
I don't think I could spell it out any plainer for you, dear reader, without making an ass of myself.
Curry, 33, missed each of the Warriors' last five games after sustaining a bruised tailbone March 17 following a fall along the Toyota Center sideline in a win over the Houston Rockets. Golden State was 1-4 in that stretch, losing each of the last four.
The two-time NBA MVP returned to the Warriors' lineup Monday against the Chicago Bulls after experiencing no issues in pregame warmups. Curry's return could be exactly the kick in the rear that Golden State needs.
