Monday night at Chase Center was all about Steph Curry.
The Warriors star guard poured in 21 first-quarter points to pass Wilt Chamberlain as the Warriors' all-time leading scorer en route to a 53-point barrage in Golden State's much-needed win over the Denver Nuggets.
On the night, Curry went 14-for-24 from the field and 10-for-18 from the 3-point line, putting a massive exclamation point on a historic night.

While Curry's greatness is plain as day for anyone with functioning eyeballs, three stats from Monday's epic performance highlight how unbelievable Curry's career has been.
Let's start with those 10 3-pointers. With those 10 triples, Curry now has 18 (!) games with 10 or more 3-pointers. That's by far the most in NBA history with Klay Thompson sitting in second place with five.
Combine those 10 treys with the 50-piece Curry handed the Nuggets on Monday and you get another stat that shows the rarefied air Curry has soared in during his transcendent career.
With his 53-point, 10-triples outburst, Curry now has seven games in his career if 50-plus points and 10-plus 3-pointers. No other player in NBA history has more than two.

To top it all off, Curry became just the fourth player since the 1976 merger to have multiple seasons with three or more 50-plus point games. Who are the others, you ask? Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and James Harden.
After putting on a show against the Nuggets, Curry received congratulations from Warriors legend Chris Mullin on his historic achievement in passing Chamberlain.

Curry's next historic milestone will include Mullin, as the Warriors star is just 94 points away from passing Mullin on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
