With less than eight minutes remaining in the first half of the Warriors' Monday night home game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Stephen Curry pulled up from distance and swished a 3-pointer to give him 10 points in the contest, and 15,000 in his accomplished 10-year NBA career.
In doing so, Curry became the fifth player in Warriors history to score at least 15,000 points with the franchise, and the first to do so since Chris Mullin.

Considering Curry had scored at least 10 points in every game he had appeared in so far this season, it wasn't exactly going out on a limb to suggest he would accomplish the feat Monday night. Warriors coach Steve Kerr spoke about Curry's impending milestone before the game.
"He'll probably be at 16,000 before too long, and he won't be aware of that either," Kerr joked at his pregame press conference.
"He's just a, obviously, brilliant player, and sets a great tone every night, every day at practice," Kerr continued. "For the Warriors, he just changed everything from where the team had been over the previous couple of decades. So, guys like Steph don't come around very often."
Kerr is in the midst of his fifth season as Golden State's coach. In that time, he's seen Curry win two league MVPs (one unanimous) and three NBA championships, make four All-Star teams and break countless records.

"He was the foundational piece to what we're seeing right now," Kerr concluded. "The first piece, and I think a major force in creating what we have today."
