Warriors head coach Steve Kerr took to Twitter on Thursday morning to congratulate Steve Nash for the Hall of Fame point guard's latest job title.

Nash on Thursday was named the Brooklyn Nets' next head coach. The two-time NBA MVP has spent the last five seasons as a Warriors player development consultant.

The Warriors also congratulated Nash for all his help over the years.

In Nash's first season assisting Golden State, Steph Curry became the first unanimous MVP in NBA history. Curry joined Nash as point guards who have won back-to-back MVPs. Nash often worked with Curry when he was in the Bay Area, as well as Kevin Durant.

And in Brooklyn, Nash will be reunited with Durant. This will be Nash's first time as a head coach, one year after Durant sat out this season while rehabbing his torn Achilles. Nash will have a core of Durant, Kyrie Irving and a lot of intriguing young players as the Nets look to take a leap forward in the Eastern Conference.

Kerr will want to beat Nash on the court, but he always will appreciate his time with the Warriors.
