Otto Porter Jr. was exactly what the Warriors needed off the bench on Sunday night.
Unfortunately for Golden State, which lost a heartbreaker in the final seconds of a 110-108 loss to the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center, Porter Jr.'s boost off the bench was wasted.
The 28-year-old forward scored 16 points while collecting 16 rebounds in 29 minutes of action.

After the game, coach Steve Kerr had nothing but praise for the veteran.
"Otto was great, he's one of the smartest players I've ever been around," Kerr told reporters. "Just the way he rebounds, the way he anticipates plays before they happen, his weak-side help is amazing. I thought Otto was brilliant tonight.
"His efforts, unfortunately, didn't lead to a win, but I thought he played a fantastic game."
Not only did Porter have a great game, but he made a little bit of Warriors history as well.
All that mattered, though, was the win that slipped right through Golden State's fingers.

Without Steph Curry for at least two weeks, the Warriors will rely more on their bench. They're hoping that Porter Jr. continues to step up as a leader of the second unit.
