Kerr, Klay's sarcastic responses to Celtics fans' Draymond jeers

Draymond Green got an earful all game long from Boston Celtics fans at the TD Garden on Wednesday during the Warriors’ 116-100 loss in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, including a chant that involved a four-letter word.

After the game, a couple of Warriors made their thoughts on the vulgarity pretty clear.

“We’ve played in front of rude people before,” Klay Thompson told reporters. “Dropping f-bombs with children in the crowd. Really classy. Good job, Boston.”

Head coach Steve Kerr had a more succinct response: “Classy. Very classy.”

The chants were probably not the main reason why Green had a poor performance, with just two points, three assists and four rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.

But he was booed during pregame introductions and whenever he touched the ball.

Having tens of thousands of people chanting at him on the biggest stage is not a new experience for Green. And opposing fans are expected to be passionate and emotional, especially during the NBA Finals.

But for Kerr and Thompson, the Celtics’ fans took things a little too far on Wednesday.
