Kerr encourages Kushner to teach Trump ‘to not be racist'

Steve Kerr doesn't want to hear any criticism of NBA players from The First Family.

After White House Senior Adviser Jared Kushner, who also is President Donald Trump's son-in-law, called out NBA players choosing to boycott the NBA playoffs after the officer-involved shooting of Jacob Blake, Kerr quote-tweeted the clip and delivered a strong message to Kushner and the entire White House.

"NBA players, coaches, executives and owners are working so hard to try to meet racism head on and find ways to improve our country. Jared, your father in law spreads hatred and division daily. Spare us your confused lecture and try to teach the president to not be racist."

Blake, an unarmed 29-year-old Black man, was shot in the back seven times on Sunday by police in Kenosha, Wis.

After the Milwaukee Bucks -- who are based just miles from Kenosha -- chose not to play their first-round playoff game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, the NBA canceled the league's other two games for the day.

In addition, multiple MLB games, four WNBA and four MLS games all were postponed as athletes met privately and discussed a response. After a meeting among the players in Orlando, where the NBA's bubble has been for the past two months, the league released a statement Friday outlining the league's social justice response and indicating that the playoffs would resume Saturday.

Kerr and Trump have fired shots at each other before, as the Warriors coach questioned the President's about-face on Colin Kaepernick in June, with Trump saying he hoped the former 49ers quarterback would get a job, but that he "has to play well."

Trump previously called Kaepernick a "son of a b---h" in 2017 for choosing to kneel during the national anthem.
