The Warriors moved within a single victory of advancing to the Western Conference finals with a win over the Rockets in Game 5 of their NBA playoff second-round series Wednesday night. On Thursday, the Denver Nuggets will attempt to book their ticket to the same destination.
Holding a three-games-to-two series lead, the Nuggets will attempt to bring an end to the Trail Blazers' season when they face Portland in Game 6 of their second-round series at the Moda Center on Thursday night. A Blazers' victory, on the other hand, would force a winner-take-all Game 7 back in Denver on Sunday (if necessary).
Both the Nuggets and Blazers were most certainly watching Game 5 between the Warriors and Rockets, and the shoe will be on the other foot Thursday night, as one of those four teams will represent the Western Conference in the 2019 NBA Finals.
