Watching brother's WBC homer was ‘really special' for Klay

It was a big night for both of the Thompson brothers.

Klay and the Warriors secured a 125-116 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime at Chase Center, while Trayce, went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double in Great Britain's 6-2 loss to the United States in the World Baseball Classic at Chase Field.

Speaking to reporters after the Warriors' win, Klay was asked how much he enjoyed watching his brother's home run.

"Oh, it was awesome," he said. "To see that at halftime and see him playing in the World Baseball Classic is really special. He has so many great years ahead of him on the diamond and I know he's going to have a great season for the Dodgers this year."

San Francisco Giants fans certainly hope that's not the case.

Klay later celebrated his brother's home run with a post on his Instagram story.

The younger Thompson, Trayce, burst onto the scene as an everyday player for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2022, slashing .268/.364/.537 with 13 home runs and 39 RBI in 74 games.

If the Warriors manage to make another deep playoff run, it could be quite a memorable summer for the Thompson brothers.
