NBA Twitter erupts after Steph's hot Finals start in Game 1

Steph Curry came out hot in the first quarter against the Boston Celtics.

In Game 1 of the NBA Finals at Chase Center, Curry torched the Celtics for 21 points on 7-of-9 from the field and 6-of-8 from 3-point range.

The two-time MVP and three-time world champion had Twitter buzzing early on Thursday night.

Curry's electric 21-point first quarter set an NBA Finals record with six 3-pointers and it didn't appear as if Boston was capable of stopping him. Not ideal when going up against the greatest shooter in the history of the game.

Golden State finished the first quarter leading the Celtics 32-28 before pulling away even further in the second quarter.

Not only is Curry searching for his fourth NBA championship in eight seasons, but he's also looking for his first Finals MVP award, which has famously evaded him throughout his career. He's certainly off to a good start on Thursday night.
