The best Twitter reactions to Klay announcing return vs. Cavs

At long last, Warriors superstar Klay Thompson will make his return to the court.

Having missed the previous two-plus seasons after tearing his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals and subsequently tearing his Achilles in November of 2020, Thompson will return to the court Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Reports indicated that Sunday would be the day, but Thompson made it official Saturday afternoon, by posting this on his Instagram.

Twitter was overjoyed.

Coach Steve Kerr had previously said that Thompson will start upon returning and mentioned Wednesday he will likely play around 15-20 minutes.

Thompson has yet to play a game at the Warriors' new home, Chase Center, since opening before the 2019-2020 season. When his name is announced Sunday night, it will likely be one of, if not the loudest moment in the stadium's history.
