Warriors-76ers is nexus of NBA's trash-talking universe Thursday night

Thursday night is a big one at Oracle Arena.

It's DeMarcus Cousins' home debut as a member of the Warriors.

It's the 76ers' -- one of the top contenders in the East -- lone trip to the Bay Area this season.

Oh, and it just so happens to feature some of the best trash talkers in today's game.

Draymond Green. Joel Embiid. Kevin Durant. Jimmy Butler. Cousins. This is going to be an entertaining one, folks, particularly for those within earshot of the court.

Embiid has shown a true penchant for getting under his opponent's skin, as he's routinely goaded opposing big men into technicals, ejections, and just general loss of their minds.

Philadelphia's center may have taken the mantle from Green as the most renowned trash-talker in the league, although Golden State's preeminent chirper will surely have something to say about that when the two teams face off. With both Embiid and Green sharing the same court, the nexus of the NBA's trash-talking universe will be between the lines at Oracle on Thursday night.

"It's a lost art in terms of, I would say, the amount of people, the amount of personality we have on the floor," Steph Curry said of the state of trash talking in today's NBA following shootaround on Thursday, "but there's a little sensitivity now. I mean, honestly, how many cameras are around, what you can get away with saying on the court, all that type of stuff.

"But the guys that enjoy it, the guys that can keep it in a place where they leave it on the floor, those are entertaining games for sure."

Embiid and Green most certainly qualify. Just ask the other 28 teams in the league.

On Wednesday night, Curry and Embiid were spotted at International Smoke -- the restaurant owned by Curry's wife, Ayesha -- in San Francisco.

Did Curry get a preview of the trash talking to come?

"You can't trash talk the host of the dinner," Curry said with a smile.

Good. Save it for the game.
