Warriors assign Briante Weber to Santa Cruz

The Warriors assigned guard Brianté Weber to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, the team announced Friday morning.

Weber, who was named an NBA D-League All-Star earlier this month, is slated to appear in the 2017 NBA D-League All-Star Game, which tips off on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (PST) from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans and will air live on NBA TV.

Weber, who signed a second 10-day contract with Golden State on Feb. 14, has appeared in five games with the Golden State Warriors this season, averaging 1.6 points and 1.0 assist in 8.2 minutes.

Prior to joining Golden State, the 6’2”, 165-pound guard appeared in 31 games (all starts) this season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA D-League, averaging 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 3.26 steals in 36.8 minutes and garnering NBA D-League Player of the Month honors in January.
