Are some in-house roster moves on the horizon for the Warriors?
General manager and president of basketball operations Bob Myers and CEO Joe Lacob will travel to the Orlando, Fla. G League bubble later this week, he told Santa Cruz Warriors broadcaster Kevin Danna during halftime of Santa Cruz's blowout win over the Agua Caliente Clippers on Monday.
Myers said he has enjoyed watching the development and progress of young players like Nico Mannion, Jordan Poole and Alen Smailagic.

“This is why the G League exists,” Myers said. “Otherwise, in the pre-G League NBA, these guys just wouldn’t be playing basketball. You don’t get better unless you play. That’s what this G League affords us and I’m glad the NBA and G League put this Orlando bubble together.
“I’m coming down there two days from now with our owner. Joe Lacob and myself are going to head down there and watch our team play on Thursday and watch some other games. So I’ll get to see it in person in a couple days.”

Poole has established himself as the G League bubble’s second-leading scorer, averaging 22.4 points per game this season, but still has some polishing to do. Smailagic still is building up strength in his return from minor knee surgery in January, posting averages of 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in four games. Both players have guaranteed contracts with the Warriors this year, so they can be called up to Golden State anytime.

Mannion (quad) and Jeremy Lin (back) sat out of Monday’s contest but have played well for the Warriors and are making a push to get back to Golden State. Mannion is on a two-way contract, while Lin’s addition to the NBA roster would require the removal of someone else.
Myers said he has been in constant contact with his team’s coaching staff, but is looking forward to seeing the action with his own eyes.
“It’s pretty amazing, looking back to the days of Bismarck, North Dakota for my first flight out there to what it is now,” Myers said. “The quality of play, the quality of players, the league investment, the team investment, it’s just been a fun journey.”
