Several Golden State players wore "Black Lives Matter" t-shirts.

A pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol on Wednesday, the same day the electoral college was to be certified, thereby officially acknowledging Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States. Prior to Wednesday's game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr decried the mob's actions and criticized Republican politicians for inciting the violence.

The Warriors and Clippers were just two of several NBA teams who took similar actions Wednesday. The Boston Celtics left the court and returned to their locker room prior to the start of their game against the Miami Heat, while both the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons took a knee after the opening tip of their game. However, none of Wednesday's games were postponed.
