Warriors' Draymond Green doesn't ‘give a damn' about his technical count

With just under five minutes remaining in the third quarter of the Warriors' loss to the Detroit Pistons last Saturday night, Draymond Green picked up two technical fouls and was ejected for the second time this season.

When questioned about his tech count after Tuesday's practice, the three-time NBA champion asked for his total. When notified that he has nine (which leads the NBA), Draymond was simple and to the point.

"I don't give a damn," he said. "I don't care. It is what it is."

Touche.

"Technical watch" was a topic of conversation with Draymond the last couple of seasons as he flirted with one-game suspensions for amassing too many.

But the three-time All-Star never did hit the No. 16 mark.

NBA players and coaches are fined $2,000 for each of their first five technicals, $3,000 for Nos. 6-10, $4,000 for Nos. 11-15, and $5,000 for any additional (plus a suspension for No. 16, 18, 20, 22 and so on).

And as Draymond explained back in late October 2015: "The mark of a good financial team is knowing ... you really have to know who you're dealing with. And you know, there's a little bit of money set aside in the budget for technical fouls (laughter) ... part of planning."
