Draymond says he prefers watching football over basketball

When Draymond Green is not playing basketball, he's watching bask--- football?

The Warriors forward is a huge football fan and enjoys watching football so much so that his own sport takes a backseat to the action on the gridiron.

Green joined the ManningCast on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" broadcast of the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams game, where he revealed his off-the-court passion for football.

"I've loved football since I was a kid," Green said to Peyton and Eli Manning Monday night. "I grew up in Saginaw, Michigan and growing up in Saginaw in the snow we would put on two, three pairs of pants, two, three pairs of socks, two coats, and we would go outside and play in the middle of the streets in the snow. Football for me, to this day, I enjoy watching football more than I enjoy watching basketball. It's incredible."

That's right, Draymond prefers watching football over the sport he plays professionally.

In fact, his lack of basketball consumption came to light on Oct. 30 after the Warriors' win over the Thunder, where he applauded the NBA's decision to crack down on foul-baiting calls, saying that it played a role in him not watching basketball.

"I kind of had stopped watching the NBA a bit because it was too much flailing and flopping and guys cheating the game to get free throws," Green told reporters that night. "I think that's been great and I would be remissed if I didn't mention that. I think that has been fantastic."

Fortunately for Draymond, he'll still have time to catch up on both NBA and NFL action throughout the week.
